This design isn’t just about liking ducks (though I really do) — it’s tied to one of my favorite memories in Gisborne, New Zealand. My wife (then girlfriend) and I had parked our van by a little creek to make lunch when two ducks waddled right up to us. One was bold, the other shy, but we gave in immediately and shared our food. From that day on, we had two feathered companions. There’s nothing quite like waking up in the morning, sliding open the van door, and having your little duck friends waddle over as fast as they can to say good morning — and politely eat your breakfast scraps.
