Making big moves is always easier said than done. One of the biggest I’ve made was moving from the USA to Germany. I can’t say it’s been a cakewalk, but I’ve learned how important it is to build a connection with the place you live—it can be the difference between a difficult transition and a new adventure.

This design is a nod to my new home in Dortmund, Germany. The city’s beloved football team (yes, football, not soccer!) has a mascot—a bee named Emma—who inspired this piece.
